He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Maninga and Verna Maninga (Wehmes); his stepfather Elmer Ohlgren; his parents-in-law, Thomas Volney and Mae Volney; and his siblings, Larry Maninga and Ellen Ricke.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jean Volney; his children, Tracy Westlund (Todd) of Alexandria, MN, Cara Doyea (David) of Anoka, MN and Gary Maninga (Maria) of Hoyt Lakes, MN; his grandchildren, Jack Westlund, Joe Westlund, Ella Westlund, Blake Doyea (Faith Doyea-Boss), Haley Beberg (Nate), Caitlin Doyea, Mariah Bennett (Sam), Adriana Sheets and Hunter Maninga; his great grandchild Joshua Doyea-Boss; and his brother-in-law Roger Ricke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bauman Cron Funeral Home (516 1st St S, Virginia, MN 55792). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
