Service: Private Memorial, Our beautiful Mara, wife, mother, sister and grandmother, was the salt of the earth. As a creative entrepreneur, master tile artist and event and concert producer, turned the ordinary into beauty. She traveled the world with her husband Rob and her son David, wrote a book, protected the earth and anything with two or four legs, helped raise millions for charitable causes, planted award winning gardens and delighted in mowing the lawn. She relished long walks on her property in the north woods, hiding trinkets in the trees for others to delight in finding, floating on the lake and an avid photographer with an unrivaled eye for splendor others would miss, then discover through her images. She had an insatiable appetite for her grand babies, providing the warmest of hugs and chocolate chip cookies with a dash of playfulness, wit and unbridled devotion. Savior to a long list of abandoned animals, she found solace in the unconditional friendship and simplicity they had to offer in an ever turbulent world. She provided comfort to those in turmoil with the logic and wisdom of a seasoned counselor, her door opened to all who were in need. Her successes and accomplishments would fill a library, her passion an ocean, her mere presence, the world, which now without her, is so much less than with her. Her memory will never leave out hearts, her beauty, our thoughts, her tenderness forever in our souls. In our sadness we find solace in her peace. We love you Mara and will miss you until we can be with you again, that being our deepest wish.
