He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Precht and Rose Precht (Heller); his wife Myrtle Welsh; his siblings, Florence Nelson (Francis), Elmer Precht (Chris) and Eugene Precht; and his grandchildren, Rachel and Ron Precht.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Precht (Kay) of Bird Island, Nancy Takle (Steve) of Alexandria, Cindy Shahan (Steve) of Albert Lea and Carrie Ryer (Kyle) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Dean Precht (Kelsey), Triston Precht, Allison Precht, Bob Takle, Emily Pearson (Jake), Erin Takle, Brett Takle, Riley Schweiger (Travis), Ryan McLaughlin, Eric Shahan (Nicole), Spencer Shahan, Chelsey Guzman (Joe) and Paige Esquibel (Carlos); his great grandchildren, McKenna, Kysen Precht, Jackson Shahan and Thea Belle Guzman; his sisters, Caroline Lade (Eugene) of Buffalo Lake and Diane Hemingsen (Jim) of Sanborn; and his sister-in-law Renee Precht. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Welsh side and many nieces and nephews.
