He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Harju and Ardis Harju; his wife Peggy (Strom); his brother David; and his son-in-law Robert Spooner.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Spooner of Gilbert, Connie Harju of Orr, Brandon Harju of Merrill, WI and Maija Bolen (Joe) of Duluth; his grandchildren, Justin Spooner (Jessica), Mason, Axton, Morgan and Tyson Bolen; his great grandchildren, McKenna and Alyssa; and his brother Donald Harju (Cindy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his extended bar family.
