He is survived by : his uncle Sam; his wife Diane Budnick; his children, Patrick Budnick (Laura), Jenna Facciotto (Anthony), Megan Sides (Rian) and Christine Roberts (Paul); his grandchildren, Daniel, Ragen, Adam, Brantley, Brandon, Tyler, Liza, Caleb, Ryan, Danielle, Madaline, Lillian, Willow, Derek, Annabelle, Emelia and Lotti; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Westin and Leela.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel (1385 107th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
