She was predeceased by: her mother Lucy; her stepfather Gordon Stensby; her father John Henry Rick; her siblings, Rhonda Rick and Eldon Rick (Steve Munsinger); her close friend Dick Thiele; and her sister Jackie.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Foster (Alta), Debbie Pierce (Cary) and Kristen Gulsvig; her grandchildren, Kyle Foster, Robyn Enyart (Jared), Holly Shuldheisz (Andy), Jesse Pierce (Ashley Helm), Molly Gulsvig (Blaine Thompson), Adam Gulsvig (Anjali) and Mara Rose Clark (Matt Kelly); her cousins, Mark and Greg; her siblings, John Michael Rick (Jerri), Rodney Rick (Laurie) and Cheryl Stensby; and her friends, Lori Lillyblad (Scott) and Brian Thiele (Alison). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Karla went Home on March 27, 2022 at the age of 81 after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
