He is survived by : his parents, Bill Goette and Lorraine Goette (Engebretson) of Albert Lea, MN; his wife Kim Goette of Blooming Prairie; his parents-in-law, Bill and Bunny Johnson of Pipestone, MN; his children, Ranell Kittelson (Isreal Wacek) of Blooming Prairie, Randi Peterson (Jon) of Blooming Prairie and Ryan (Megan Green) of New Ulm, MN; his grandchildren, Anna, Drew, Brady Kittelson, Kendra, Ryker Long, Mila and Aria Peterson; his siblings, Jerome Goette (DeeAnn) of Albert Lea, MN, Brenda Cords (Jim) of Manchester, MN and Rodney Goette (Deb) of Ellendale, MN; and his parents-in-law, Carla Johnson of Benson, MN and Brad Johnson of Pipestone, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials to his family as they will be donating the monies to the BP Quarterback Club and BPHS Athletic Program as Dean is such a proud supporter of the Awesome Blossoms.

“In loving memory of Dean Goette, Heidi and I send our deepest, heartfelt sympathies —-Dean was such a special person. We have such special memories of going to hog shows & sales and 4-H judging contests with Dean. I will never forget the van ride to Compart’s sale in 1980 with Jerome, and the Drescher brothers. He was always so good to my folks, Robert and Delores Bryson. It is comforting to know they will be spending Christmas together Sharing in your sorrow. With love and friendship.”

What started as a competitive show ring relationship grew into a judging team effort & later a fellow pork producer “junkie.” We would see him at shows & hog sales & pigs for hours. He always had an easy smile & an optimistic outlook. So many fun memories. Dean will be sorely missed.”
