It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Petersen of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William "Mac" Cleaver and Ruby Cleaver (Vaughn); her husband Paul Petersen; and her siblings, Dean, Keal Cleaver and Frances Louise Kuhajda.

She is survived by : her daughters, Lola Manning (Bill) of Thomson and Caroline Houzenga (Steven) of Blooming Prairie; her grandchildren, Christa Curley (Dave) of Fulton, Bryce Manning (Jessica) of Marion, Dustin Manning of Moline, Alan Manning (Wendy) of Cedar Rapids, Donise Thostenson (Darin) of Blooming Prairie and Chontel Thompson (Tom) of Omaha, Nebraska; and also Luella Pelhke of Joliet, Illinois.. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Worlein-Hoff Blooming Prairie Funeral Home (418 Hwy Ave S, Blooming Prairie, MN 55917).
