She is survived by : her husband Michael Doocy; her sons, Travis Doocy (Lianna) and Dustin Doocy (Mandy); her mother-in-law Eunice Doocy (Babe); her grandchildren, Addison Doocy, Aden Doocy, Gemini Johnson, Jaspher Doocy, Harlee Doocy and Linkynn Doocy; and her sister Candy Lewis Riles. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Terry Renick wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sorry to hear of Virgene’s passing. I lost touch with her after her mother (my aunt) & my dad (her uncle) passed away so many years ago. I last saw her at my brother’s viewing when he passed in 2003. I pray that her family is comforted by all their memories of her. I am sorry I won’t be able to attend her Celebration of Life. I will be thinking of her & her family.”
