He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen McSorley; his parents, Verney Lanman and Edith Lanman; his son Ronald Lanman; his brother Revere Lanman; and his grandson Benjamin Lanman.

He is survived by: his children, Catherine Lanman, Jacalyn Wells and Charles Lanman (Michelle); and his sister Doris Winters. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
