He was predeceased by: his mother Jan; his brother David; and his uncle Jack. He is survived by: his father Gene; his sister Deb Beckstrom (Jon); his nephews, Nate, Josh and Jacob Beckstrom; and his niece Katie Beckstrom.

A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church (9350 Portland Ave, Bloomington, MN 55420). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bloomington Cemetery (10340 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55420).
