He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Best and Hazel Best. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his sons, Kevin and Darren (Christine); his grandchildren, Kyle, Natalie, Ryan and Molly; and his siblings, Ken, Bernice, Bev and Lyle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the United Methodist Church of Peace or the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.
