He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Shanks and Theresa Hart (Yates); his stepfather Clarence Hart; and his sister Gloria Hart. He is survived by: his wife Michele "Miki"; his children, Christopher, Darren (Kim Reiter), Kelley and Molly (Jake Colsch); his grandchildren, Sean Vinge, Vincent, Adeline, Jameson and Ben; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Tatum Vinge; and his sister Joyce Evans. He is also survived by niece and nephews, and the many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at 5501 American Blvd W, Bloomington, MN 55437.
