He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd and Germaine; and his wife Christa. He is survived by: his children, Denise and John Schroeder; his grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan, Kylie and Bryce; his siblings, Mary, Bernadette, Florence, Harry, Al (Mary), Wally (Queenie), Mike (Lisa), Jerry (Robin), Greg and James (Sharon); his uncle Franny; his sisters, Joan and Theresa; and his siblings-in-law, Scheery, Kitty and Gene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great, great-great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Everett McClay Bloomington VFW Post 1296 (311 W 84th St, Bloomington, MN 55420).
