With sadness, we share the passing of LaVonnie JoAnn Thraen (Bloomington, Minnesota). LaVonnie, born on April 11, 1937, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Thompson and Sanford Thompson; her husband Vern; her stepfather Claude; her siblings, James, Gary, Wayde and MarileeAnn; and her grandson Dylan.
She is survived by: her former spouse LaVerne J. Thraen; her children, Lori Esser (Thraen) and Larry; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Dustin and Dalton Esser. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Transfiguration Lutheran Church (11000 France Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
