She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Baklund and Myrtle Baklund; her husband Arlon Kompelien; her son Gregory Kompelien; her siblings, Evelyn Mercedes Sherman, Lucille Paulson, Dorothy Murphey-McLaren and Sherman Baklund; and her son-in-law James Wise.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Kompelien (Debra), Ron Kompelien and Judy Wise Yantos (Timothy Yantos); her daughter-in-law Hazanne Kompelien; and her sister-in-law Hildegard Kompelien. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Emmaus Free Lutheran Church (8443 2nd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55420). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Prior Emmaus Free Lutheran Church (8443 2nd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55420).
