With sadness, we share the passing of Marlene Carol Oberg of Bloomington, Minnesota. Marlene, born on July 31, 1934, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Gary Oberg; her daughter Dr. Jan Frederick; her sister Jean Kolander; and her parents, Yvonne Nelson and Richard Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Karen and Paul; her son-in-law Dan; her grandchildren, Lauren (Aaron), Kevin (Marie), Brad and Marjie; and her great grandchildren, Julia, Zelie, Robert, Jude, Luke, Lasalette, Gemma and Cabrini.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Louis Park Chapel (3960 Wooddale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55416). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel (3960 Wooddale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55416). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Louis Park Chapel (3960 Wooddale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55416).
