She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Pierce and Lucille Pierce; and her sister Donna Thein. She is survived by: her husband Henry; her children, Tim Langer (Karma), Sarah Takagi (Atsushi) and Phillip Langer; her grandchildren, Autumn, Addie and Pierce Langer; her children, Aika and Mika Takagi; and her siblings, Anne and Ray Pierce.

To honor her music legacy, the family requests a memorial donation in lieu of flowers to support future students. Memorials may be made to The Langer Studio Memorial Fund.
