He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Schobert and Hattie Schobert (Gottberg); and his siblings, Harry Schobert, Elsie, Marie, Laura, Pearl, Margaret, Florene, Audrey and Geraldine.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Donna Schobert of Fairmont; and his niece Deb Redman (Fred) of Fairmont. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Blue Earth American Legion, Wells VFW, and UHD Hospice.
