It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Moilanen (Brainerd, Minnesota), who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Moilanen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleon Peterson and Sadie Peterson; and her brother Terrance Peterson. She is survived by: her husband Roger Moilanen; her daughters, Denise Nord (David), Ann Koep (Kevin) and Alicia Brownell (Chris); and her sisters, Pam Knutson (Jim), Sandy Newman (Alan) and Carole Bollig (Denny). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, it was Barb's wish that donations be made to the Zion Lutheran Building Fund-220 No. 8th St; Brainerd, MN 56401; or to Kidney Cancer research- kidneycancer.org.
