As Dean departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dean. Though Dean may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Harold Balster and Colleen Balster (Berg) of Brainerd; his wife Barbara Sunde; his children, Alex Balster (Adam) of Brainerd, Nicole Goehring (Ryan) of Herreid, SD and Sophie Tucker (Nicole) of Pequot Lakes; his sisters, Debby Keefer of Round Mountain, TX, Dawn Heide (Scott) of Pillager and DeAnne Pierzinski (Rodney) of Lake Shore; and his grandchildren, Molly, Madison and Chase Goehring.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dean Balster Home (18938 Maryville Rd NW, Brainerd, MN 56401).
