He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob "Jake" Seelhammer and Mary Lillian Seelhammer (Flesch); and his siblings, Ralph, Wayne Seelhammer, Mary Jane Cady and Darlene Howbert.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Brausen; and his children, Cynthia Seelhammer (Tom Marcinko), Denise Seelhammer Ausderau, Joan Becker (Dave), Renee Taylor (Derrick), Mark Seelhammer (Luz González) and Lisa Smith (Bill). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (1108 Willow St, Brainerd, MN 56401). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Save the Children, the National Wildlife Federation, or the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
