It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Bennett Nelson of Brainerd, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Nelson and Ruby Nelson (Larson); his daughter Julie; and his brother-in-law Fred. He is survived by: his wife Karla; his children, Michael Nelson (Angie) and Marci Segner (Andy); his grandchildren, James, Ryan, Julia and Jimmy; his brother Dennis Nelson (Marlys); and his sister-in-law Connie Nelson. He is also survived by many extended family members including nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
