He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Kuhn and Julitta Kuhn (Otto); his son Jonathan Kuhn; his sister Mary Jane Koep; his sisters-in-law, Carol Kuhn, Judy Wagner and Mary Kuhn; his nephew Teddy Wagner; and his great-nephew Conan Lee Bitzan-Maus.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Roers; his son Joel (Amy); his grandchildren, Nathaniel and Clarisa (Brunty); and his brothers, Leon (Barbara), Kenneth (Mary Ann) and Gregory. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Howard's memory be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, Charleston, WV.
