It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Albert Ellis (Breckenridge, Minnesota), who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Shenandoah Ellis-Ulmer (Mike), Heidi Klimek (Troy) and Chris Hoffarth (Maddie); his grandchildren, Joe, Jackson, Hunter, Speros, Gus, Peyton, Drew, Odie and Louise; his great grandchild Giulia; and his brother John Ellis.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations sent in Mel's honor to the Veterans Home in Fergus Falls or the Ottertail County Humane Society.
