He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra; his brother Dennis Saliny; and his parents, Joseph Saliny and Rose Saliny. He is survived by: his children, Jim (Jodi), Sue Saliny, David (Xiao-Li) and Danny (Katerina); his grandchildren, Ali Sirek (Colton), Andy Saliny (Kelly), Laura Salazar (Hugo) and Xiao-Wei Saliny (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Rosie Sirek, Henry Sirek, Mateo Salazar and Ryan Salazar; and his siblings-in-law, Mavis Backen, Carol Dammann, Donald Dammann (Darlene) and Allan Dammann (Karen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota (7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
