He was predeceased by: his wife Janice "Jan" Harlander; his parents, Joseph Harlander and Peggy Harlander; and his siblings, Clinton and Darlene "Dolly" Harlander.

He is survived by: his children, John (Sue), Christe (Steven), David (Lisa) and Cathy; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Adam), Jessica, Rachelle, Kaitlyn (Andrew), Ashley (Travis), Eliza and Anton; his great grandchildren, Landon, Ellie, Caden, Audrey, Jackson and Brielle; and his siblings, Delphine, Geraldine, Duane, William and Ronald. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
