He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Rice (Les) and Elizabeth Rice (Betty); and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his spouse Char; his children, Jennifer Brandt (Jeff), Mark Rice (Kristi) and Michael Rice (Kate); his grandchildren, Katherine, Christopher Brandt, Abigail, Henry Rice and Owen; his brother Jim Rice (Lynnell); and his siblings-in-law, Vickie Rice and Chuck Datko (Barb). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445).
