He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Sr. Steinhofer and Gladys Steinhofer (Zirbes); his brothers, Daniel, Peter and James Steinhofer; his nephew Benjamin Steinhofer; and his brother-in-law Dale Fadness.
He is survived by: his children, Charity Kerchner (Mike) of Sauk Rapids, Nicole Steinhofer of Albuquerque, NM and Steven Steinhofer of St. Cloud; his stepchildren, Justin and Jordan Lent; his partner's daughter Marisa Jacobson; his siblings, John Steinhofer Jr. of Big Falls, David Steinhofer of Sedan, Donald Steinhofer (Stefanie) of Sauk Centre, Chad Steinhofer of Glenwood, Darlene Fadness of Sedan, Janice Karasch (Alan) of Hackensack, Kathy Van Vickle (David) of Glenwood and LaDonna Steinhofer of Glenwood; his aunts, Shirley Steinhofer of Melrose, Jean Fuchs of Melrose and Karen Zirbes of Melrose; Roland "Bear" Kline. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
