With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maynard Carl Akkerman of Brownsdale, Minnesota, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Akkerman and Marlys Akkerman (Dunker); his brothers, Kenny, Martin and Wayne Akkerman; and his in-laws, Jean and Elden Huemann.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Akkerman (Huemann); his sons, Derek (Dawn), Justin (Heidi) and Andrew (Abby); his grandchildren, Ollie, Owen, Aubrey, Grant, Stella, Evalyn, Flynn and Easton; and his sisters, Ruth Fandrey (James) and Barb Kester (Wade). He is also survived by family members and close friends.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Maynard's honor.
