He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond O'Connor and Eileen O'Connor (Jandro); his parents-in-law, Burton and Melvina Fjerstad; his son-in-law Timothy Simmons; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Larson, Ardis Grovdahl, Donna Head, Herb Grovdahl and Denny Head; and his nieces, Lisa Allen and Dana Head.
He is survived by: his daughter Colleen Teresa (Bruce) of Hayfield, MN; his wife Eileen Fjerstad; his children, Stephanie Simmons of Winona, MN and Chad O'Connor (Jenny) of Hayfield, MN; his grandchildren, Paige Jochum (Jake), Avery Simmons (Madison), Jacob Simmons (Laura), Lillie O'Connor (Carson), McKenna O'Connor (Noah), Liam, Sawyer and Lena Fish; his siblings, Enner Fjerstad (Burt), Tom O'Connor (Deb), Duke, Denny, Pat, Kathy and Tim; and his in-laws, Tink Larson (Judy) and Lavonne Berge (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes & Crematory (501 2nd St NW, Hayfield, MN 55940).
In lieu of flowers, any donations will be made to various organizations in Mike's honor.
