He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Walter and Ruth Walter (Schafer); his brothers, Richard Walter (Avis) and Loren Walter; his brother-in-law Donald Williams; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Frances Brehmer; and his siblings-in-law, John and Marion Jacobson.

He is survived by : his wife Marie Walter of Buffalo Lake, MN; his children, Mark Walter of Jackson, MN and Lynn Lockard (Doug) of Burnsville, MN; his siblings, Kenneth Walter (Nancy) of Apple Valley, MN, Judy Williams of Burnsville, MN and Neil Walter (Gerri); his sister-in-law Carol Walter of Buffalo Lake, MN; his nephew Matt Walter; and his niece Trina Walter. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
