With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie J. Elfering in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Halliday and Loretta Halliday; and her siblings, Janie Halliday, Linda Rupp, Pat Miller, Mary Nigut and Dave Halliday.
She is survived by: her husband Swede Elfering of Bird Island; her daughter Ann Dovenmuehle (Neil) of Hutchinson, MN; her grandson Jacob Kramer (Dana); her great grandchild Brooks of Hector, MN; her grandchild Jordan Kramer (Jen); her great grandchildren, Avery, Henry, Charlie of Hector, MN, Lindsey Kramer (Dillon Hayes) of Milaca, MN and Courtney Kramer (Raeann Sorenson) of Sunburg, MN; her granddaughter Ella Dovenmuehle; her daughter Jane Olinger (Tom) of Olivia, MN; her grandchild Jesse Hagen (Anna); her great grandchildren, Shay and Bella of Danube, MN; and her grandchildren, Emery Olinger (Jonathan Lara) of Alexandria, MN and Evan Olinger.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Max's Grill (2425 W Lincoln Ave, Olivia, MN 56277).
Memorials preferred to Olivia Hospital & Clinic or Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
