He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leerssen and Doris Leerssen (Erickson). He is survived by: his siblings, Dennis Leerssen (Merry) of Buffalo, Minnesota and Sue Kant (Tim) of West Allis, Wisconsin; and his nieces and nephews, Becka Bohlmann (Seth), Jake Leerssen (Anne), Aaron Leerssen (Lisa), Amy Ridenour (Paul), Andy Kant (Jenn) and Emily Schlimme (Matt). He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cross Ev. Lutheran Church.
