He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lura Lee and Mark Lee; his children, Sharon (Gordon Davis), Mark Jr. (Helen), David (Susan) and Jody (David McElrath); his wife Fern; and his grandchildren, Mark III, Nathan, Benjamin, Kyrsten, Amy, Jordan, Stephen, Frosty, Dyer, Curtis, Joy, Andrew and Heidi. He was also cherished by 23 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

“My family attended Lombard Bible Church in Lombard, Illinois when Dr. Lee was the pastor. He baptized me. He had done my grandmother's funeral service. I have many fond memories of his time at the church. After many years our paths crossed when our daughter attend Simpson College in San Francisco. We had many wonderful dinners with Fern and Mark. My husband, George, kept his motor home running. We had the joy of talking with him on the phone just five days before he passed away.”
