He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony and Nell; his stepmother Edwina; and his brother Sen. He is survived by: his aunts, Helen and Susan; his children, John Melcher (Liz), Kathy Mummert (Randy), Mary Kay Mans (Tom), Greg Melcher (Claire), Anne Leuthner (Jim), Steve Melcher (Mary), Jim Melcher (Ruth), Charlie Melcher (Karen) and Rich Melcher (Sandra); his siblings, Ginny DiNovis (Greg) and Tom Melcher (Diane); his nephew David; his grandson Jesse; Tony Melcher. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
