We announce the death of Roger Charles Vergin (Buffalo, Minnesota), who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 88. Roger will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Roger’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Vergin and Hilda Vergin (Leerssen). He is survived by: his wife Dr. Rosemary Rainbolt Vergin of The Villages; his sons, Gregory Charles Vergin of Bellingham, WA, Eric Roger Vergin of Bellingham, WA and David Michael Vergin of Bellingham, WA; and his brother Brian Michael Vergin (Debbie) of Grand Rapids, MN. He is also survived by his niece, nephew and their spouses and children.
In 2024 he established the Roger C. Vergin Track & Field Scholarship through the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation.
