He is survived by: his wife Robin; his children, Kerri Sue Carlson Anderson (Tom) and Brent David Carlson (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Brady Carlson-Klose (Keeley) and Sydney Anderson; his sister-in-law Judy Gestrich; his niece Tanya Davis; his nephews, Robert Yourdon (Victoria) and Dustin Pardy; his great-niece Kayla Davis; his great-nephews, Tyler Davis, Ryan Davis, Mason Yourdon and Benson Yourdon; Kim Carlson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or the Bloomington Association of Firefighters (B.A.R.F.).
