He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Schaefer and Ed Schaefer. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Paul (Grey), Catherine Tapp (Mathieu) and Stephanie Leipold (Andy); his grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson; and his siblings, Carl (Karen) and Mary Maki (Bob). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mary, Mother of the Church.
