She was predeceased by: her parents, William Backer and Carrie Backer; her former husband Jerry Scholz; her brothers, Robert Backer (Ann) and Russel Backer; her nephews, Dennis Backer and Mike Backer; and her pet Robert.

She is survived by: her daughter Heather Walker (Mike); her grandchildren, Sean Walker (Ellen), Jake Walker (Maddy) and Tiffany Walker; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Layla Walker.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Scholz; parents, William and Carrie Backer; brothers Robert (Ann) Backer, Russel Backer; nephew Dennis Backer, nephew Mike Backer; her beloved cat (Robert) who was by her side throughout the long years of covid; also by many other family and friends.
