He is survived by: his parents, Bill Schmidt and Marlene Schmidt (Regenscheid) of Burnsville, MN; his siblings, Brad Schmidt (Kristin) and COand Kim Slota (Adam) of Chicago, IL; and his nieces, Keira, Jenna Schmidt, Mila and Margot Slota.
