He was predeceased by : his father Vincent E. Vik; and his grandson William. He is survived by : his wife Nilda; his daughters, Sheila Thao (Peter), Sharon Lee (See) and Sherry Larson (Tony); his mother Mary Vik; his siblings, Mary Lemmons, Barbara Vik, Teri Pardo, Steve Vik (Suzette) and John Vik (Monica); and his grandchildren, Jasmine, Tyler, Joshua, Austin, Meka, Ayden, Olivia, Henry and George. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials preferred to Como Park Zoo and/or Minnesota Zoo, and/or find a way to provide music lessons for kids.
