He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Brunkow and Lillian Brunkow (Metzler); his children, Joseph and Katie; and his sister Bonnie Rosenbush (Merlyn).

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kepner; his daughters, Amy Brunkow, Molly Brunkow (Josh Brumfield), Amber Ramsarran (Keven) and Patty Kain (Peter); his grandchildren, Taegan, Zander, Josh Jr., Lillian, Charlie, Roman, Owen and Carly; and his siblings, Dean Brunkow (Gayle), Cheri Vaughan (Bob), Steve Brunkow and Debbie Beltz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
