He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eggerth and Alina Eggerth (Paavola); his wife Leona Kasper; his brother Norman; his brothers-in-law, Royce Cottrell and Pete Ahlers; and his sibling's children, Joyce Brooks and Brian Cottrell.
He is survived by: his sister Delores Cottrell of Silverton, OR; his siblings-in-law, Rick Kasper and Amanda LaVine of Long Prairie; and his sibling's children, Valerie Jensen, Jeanette Baker of Silverton, OR and Gerald Cottrell of Salem, OR. He is also survived by eleven great-nieces and nephews; ten great-great nieces and nephews; and three great-great-great nieces and nephews.
