He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Raney and Agnes Raney (Derksen); and his brother-in-law John Brandt (Karen). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Brandt; his sons, Daniel of Decorah, Iowa, John (DeVonne) of Morton and Juan Tony Guzman of Decorah, Iowa; his grandchildren, Collin (Naomi), Harley, Atlas, Jasmyne, Joanthon and Joryden; his brother Lauren (Evah); his cousin Mavis Anderson; and his sisters-in-law, Luci Cramer (Carl) and Diane Grandstrand (Winslow). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
