He was predeceased by: his parents, David Bolles and Edith Bolles (Sparrow); his stepmother Irene Bolles (Markham); his parents-in-law, James and Marion Thompson (Aarsvold); his daughter Melissa Adams (Bolles); and his stepbrother Marvin DeWitt.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bolles; his children, Angela May of Auburn, CA, Rhonda Bolles of Louisville, KY and Gregory Bolles of Byron, MN; his grandchildren, Camille May, Jordan May, Rachel May and Caroline Adams; and his siblings, Robert DeWitt (Betty), Lyle DeWitt, Curtis Bolles and Nadine Ulring.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the South Zumbro Lutheran Church (68905 280th Ave, Kasson, MN 55944).
