He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Gensmer and Erna Gensmer; his parents-in-law, Gilman and Minnie Myrah; and his in-laws, Otto Hirschoff Earl, Eloise Hoff, Charlie, Patsy Solberg, Jack Munson and Bill Parkos.
He is survived by: his wife Ethelyn Gensmer; his siblings, Anita Hirschoff and Walt (Alice); his sons, Tom Gensmer, Tim Gensmer (Julie) and Terry Gensmer (Christine); his grandchildren, Nick Gensmer, Alison Gensmer, William Gensmer and Annika Gensmer; and his sisters-in-law, Norma Munson and Margie Parkos. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (650 N Kingston St, Caledonia, MN 55921). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church and/or school.
