Rita MARY (Moriarty) Schutz Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Rita MARY (Moriarty) Schutz of Caledonia, Minnesota is shared. Rita, born on May 19, 1929, passed away on October 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Moriarty and Margaret Moriarty; her husband Raymond Schutz; and her siblings, Mildred Moriarty, Stella Zimba, Joe Moriarty, Peg Williams, Eileen Alexander, Edna Mae Moriarty, John William Moriarty and Margie Moriarty.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Schutz (Deb Mason), Kathy Schutz, Mary Gulbranson (Richard), Sharon Corcoran, John Schutz and Dianne Gauger; and her grandchildren, Brian Giesler (Kelly), Kristi Rainwater (Reace), Jessica Gulbranson, Angie Sanders (Devin), Arlene Augedahl (Adam), Dan Gulbranson (Brittany Demmitt), Michael Schutz, Joseph Schutz (Poorva Tamhane), Jason Corcoran, Rachel Bell (Matt), Teresa Gauger (Clay Brown) and Joshua Schutz. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Mary's Holy Family Hall (513 S Pine St, Caledonia, MN 55921). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (513 S Pine St, Caledonia, MN 55921).
