He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Theresa Foellmi (Lucas) of Brownsville, MN, Melinda Whitacre of Onalaska and Joseph Kreutzer (Malarie) of Houston, MN; his grandchildren, Seth, Alex, Cody, Layne, Logan, Macy, Morgan and Josie; and his siblings, Karen Alden (Gary), Joan Huber, Eugene Schams, Jr. (Patty), Sue Schams, Chuck Schams, Tom Schams and Mary Schams.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent (111 S Oak St, La Crescent, MN 55947).
