She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Elkington and Olga Elkington (Gunderson); her daughter Cindy Griffin Kotila; and her siblings, Sandie Dingman, Randy Elkington and Scott Elkington.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Rice (Susan), Tim Rice (Melanie) and Polly Mitchell (David); and her sister Donna Edstrom. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
